Biography

Professional Background:
Molly earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2015. She began her career in adult acute care, where she spent eight years honing her clinical skills and taking on leadership roles, including serving as a student coordinator and contributing to the development of OT documentation templates. During this time, she also gained experience working with both adult and pediatric populations in an inpatient behavioral health setting.

Currently, Molly practices primarily in an outpatient setting, where she works with adults managing neurologic conditions, cognitive and mental health challenges, low vision, and driving safety concerns. In addition to her work with adults, she is a Certified Lactation Counselor and provides support to infants and families in ASL's Level II Nursery. Molly is passionate about maternal health and is actively developing a specialized OT program to support parents and parents-to-be during the perinatal period.

Philosophy of Care:
As an occupational therapist, I am committed to supporting individuals across the lifespan—from infants in the early days of life to adults navigating complex neurological, cognitive, visual, and mental health challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice, always honoring each client’s unique story and goals. I believe in creating a therapeutic space where clients feel empowered, respected, and engaged in the process of reclaiming function and enhancing quality of life. Whether I’m supporting a parent-infant dyad in the level II nursery, guiding recovery after neurological change, or advancing maternal wellness, I strive to provide care that is holistic, person-centered, and deeply meaningful.

Why I Went Into Healthcare:
I chose occupational therapy because it’s a profession that takes a holistic approach—treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I’m drawn to the way OT values each individual’s unique story, goals, strengths, and challenges. I believe that the most effective care is rooted in what is personally meaningful to each client, whether that’s returning to work, caring for a child, or navigating daily life with greater confidence and independence. This profession allows me to combine clinical skill with empathy and creativity, supporting people through life’s transitions in a way that feels both impactful and deeply human.
